
Vehicle and Safety Requirements
This document describes the minimum technical requirements for vehicles and the necessary safety equipment required to participate in the 'Atlas Uncharted' rally. The requirements are intended to ensure participant safety, vehicle reliability, and the feasibility of the route in remote regions.
1. Vehicle Requirements
All participating vehicles must meet the following minimum requirements:
General Condition:

Vehicle must be technically sound and reliable

No significant oil or fluid leaks

Brakes and steering must function properly

All lights must be operational
Eligible Vehicle Types:

4x4 off-road vehicles
-
SUVs with sufficient ground clearance

Off-road capable pickup trucks

Adventure motorcycles / dual-sport motorcycles
Not permitted:

Standard road vehicles with low ground clearance

Vehicles with obvious technical defects
The final approval of vehicles remains at the discretion of the event organization.
2. Mandatory Vehicle Equipment
Recovery Equipment:

Tow rope or recovery straps

At least two shackles

Sand ladders or traction boards
Navigation:

GPS device or navigation system

Offline maps of the rally region

Compass (recommended)
The organizer may optionally provide a GPS tracking device for participants. This tracker may be used to transmit vehicle positions and improve safety during the rally.
Communication:

Mobile phone

Satellite communication recommended (e.g., satellite messenger)
In the rally camps the organizer may provide Starlink internet access for participants where technically available.

3. Safety Equipment

5. Vehicle Inspection
The organization reserves the right to inspect vehicles before the start of the rally and may refuse participation if a vehicle is deemed unsafe or unsuitable.
6. Participant Responsibility
Each participant is responsible for the technical condition of their vehicle, adequate spare parts and equipment, and safe driving behavior. Participation in the rally is entirely at the participant's own risk.
Infrastructure such as GPS tracking or satellite internet is provided primarily for safety and communication purposes and may vary depending on local conditions.
