Mandatory Technical Standards

Each vehicle must meet defined minimum requirements.

Eligible Vehicles

The rally is open to:

​

• 4x4 vehicles with genuine off-road capability

• SUVs suitable for gravel, sand, and remote terrain

• Adventure motorcycles / dual-sport bikes

​

All vehicles must be road-legal and properly registered.

​

Final acceptance is subject to review. Vehicles deemed unsuitable for the terrain or safety standards may not be admitted.

• Mechanically sound and roadworthy

• No major fluid leaks

• No critical warning indicators

• Capable of sustained long-distance driving

Essential Equipment​

• Valid registration and insurance

• Off-road capable tyres

• Front and rear recovery points

• Minimum one full-size spare wheel

• (motorcycles: puncture repair solution)

• Fire extinguisher

• First aid kit

• Basic tool kit

• Valid international vehicle liability insurance

Vehicles not meeting these standards will not be permitted to start.

​

​Recommended Preparation

Strong preparation improves safety and overall experience.

​

​

Insurance Requierement​

Every participating vehicle must carry valid inernational liability insurance for

all countries visited during the expedition.

​

Participants may also be required to provide proof of medical insurance

and evacuation coverage prior to depature.

• Minimum: 1 driver

• Maximum: 4 persons

Motorcycle​

• Maximum: 1 rider

​

All participants must hold a valid driving licence and be legally permitted to operate their vehicle.

Entry Fees​

Registration is confirmed upon receipt of deposit.

​

Early Mover​

• €3,499 – 4x4 / SUV (2 persons included)

• €2,199 – Motorcycle (1 rider included)

• Additional team member: €1,299

• Available until May 2026.

Mid-Year Entry​

• €3,799 – 4x4 / SUV

• €2,599 – Motorcycle

• Additional team member: €1,499

• May – September.

​

Late Entry​

• €3,999 – 4x4 / SUV

• €2,799 – Motorcycle

• Additional team member: €1,599

• Final registration phase.

• Participation closes once capacity is reached.

• Official participation

• Rally number and door plate

• Medical support by rally medic

• Tracking system for safety monitoring

• Camping at official camps and bivouacs

• Assistance with border formalities

• Organisation of required insurance (premium excluded)

• Fiche for Morocco and Mauritania

• For added comfort, Starlink satellite internet access is available at the camp, subject to technical feasibility and local conditions.

Participants are responsible for maintaining valid insurance coverage throughout

the expedition.
